Meet Jamie Wallace
Jamie graduated last year from the Queens-Trent con-ed program. She is currently teaching Year 2 in England. During her years at Trent, she was a Trent PenPal, a scribe for the student accessibility services, an Orientation Week leader, and she served as a co-chair for Trent's World Day.
Jamie decided to become a leader in order to give back to her community after the Trent Community had given so much to her when she first started out. The community was always so accepting and supportive and she wanted to pass that experience on to new Trent students. She loved her LEC community and she wanted to be as involved in that community as possible.
As a student leader, she found she developed better organization skills and better networking skills. She became more confident with her communication and skills and found she had no problems getting to know and meet new people.
Jamie hopes to return next year and pursue a teaching career in Canada. She wants to put her leadership and communication skills to the test and build a fulfilling career where she can educate children and teach them to love learning as much as she does.
